Baseball Ends Regular Season with Split

The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Baseball team ended the regular season with a split vs. Riverland Community College, falling in game one 6-1, and defeating the Blue Devils 7-3 in game two.

Riverland struck first in game one getting one run in the bottom of the 1st, but Anoka-Ramsey tied the score 1-1 in the top of the 2nd.

But that was the offense the Golden Rams could muster as they finished with three hits.

Riverland scored twice in the bottom of the 3rd and added three more runs in the bottom of the 4th.

The Golden Rams didn't do themselves any favors in the field committing seven errors leading to four unearned runs.

The tides turned in the game two as Anoka-Ramsey took at 2-0 lead after three innings.

Then the Golden Rams broke the game open in the top of the 4th inning with five runs.  Ryan Lust drove in two runs with a double, while Andrew Brown and Brennan Beese each drove in runs with singles.

Jake Hansen earned the win on the mound throwing all seven innings and striking out six.

Anoka-Ramsey ends the regular season with a 17-21 overall record.
