Baseball Back on Track with Two Wins

The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Baseball team broke a four game losing streak by beating Western Tech 6-0 and 13-3 on Wednesday afternoon.

Daniel Deitz earned the win in game win by allowing just two hits and striking out five batters in the shutout.

Singles by Jake Hansen and Cody Herrmann in the 1st inning scored two runs, and the Golden Rams would add two more in the 2nd inning.

Anoka-Ramsey totaled 11 hits in the game with Ryan Lust going 3 for 3 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Hansen went 2-3 with three RBI.

Game two was much of the same for the Golden Rams.

After falling behind 2-0 heading into the bottom of the 2nd, the Golden Rams scored four runs in their half of the inning beginning with a Jake Bloomstrand single.

Levi Falde successfully bunted to drive in another run, and a walk drawn by Brennan Beese scored a third run in the inning.

The Golden Rams scored three more in the 3rd inning and five more in the 4th.

Bloomstrand walked twice to go with his one hit and scored three runs.

Ryan Lust finished with three RBI.

Cody Wiskur earned the win throwing five innings and striking out five Western Tech batters.
