Golden Rams Lose Two to Rochester

The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Baseball team fell 4-3 and 6-4 to Rochester Community and Technical College.

Game one saw the Yellowjackets prevail with a walk-off hit in the bottom of the 8th inning.

Brennan Beese drove in the first run for the Golden Rams with a sacrafice fly in the first inning.

Anoka-Ramsey would score twice more in the 2nd to take a 3-0 lead which they would continue to hold until the 6th inning.

Rochester put two on the board in the bottom of the 6th to pull within 3-2 then tacked on one more in the bottom of the seventh to send the game to extra innings.

The Golden Rams had eight hits to Rochester's four but committed five errors in the loss.

Andrew Brown and Jake Hansen each went 2-3 at the plate.

In the second game the Golden Rams fell behind 3-0 after two innings but scored two in the top of the 3rd to pull within 3-2.  

Rochester responded with a run in the bottom of the 3rd, but the Golden Rams drove in two more runs in the top of the 4th to tie the score at 4-4.

Rochester would score again in the bottom of the 4th, then in the bottom of the 5th as well for the final margin.

Ryan Lust and Levi Falde each went 2-4 for Anoka-Ramsey with Falde driving in two runs.
