Baseball Drops Two to MN West

The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Baseball team dropped two games to Minnesota West by scores of 6-3 and 5-4.

In game one the Golden Rams fell behind early and trailed 6-0 after five innings.

Anoka-Ramsey fought back in the bottom of the sixth with three runs thanks to a triple by Jake Hansen, a single by Brennan Beese, and a single from Parker Janske but the Golden Rams could not complete the comeback.

Cody Wiskur took the loss for Anoka-Ramsey throwing 4.1 innings giving up six runs and seven hits.

Janske, Hansen, and Beese each drove in a run for the Golden Rams.

In game two MN West again jumped ahead scoring in each of the first three innings to lead 5-0.

A Jake Hansen double in the fifth scored the first Golden Ram run, then a single by Levi Falde and another by Hansen in the sixth contributed to three runs and the lead was cut to 5-4.

The Golden Rams couldn't muster another run in fighting from behind for the second straight game.

Anoka-Ramsey had 11 hits on the game with Hansen and Ryan Lust each having three.
