Golden Rams Down Vermilion

The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Baseball team swept Vermilion Community College in a doubleheader on April 8 by scores of 10-0 and 9-6.

In the first game the Golden Rams scored eight runs in the sixth inning, getting timely hits from Jake Bloomstrand, Ryan Lust, Brennan Beese, and Cody Herrmann.

Parker Janske got the win on the mound throwing five innings and allowing just one hit to go with four strike outs.  Cody Wiskur got the save.

The Golden Rams had 12 hits with Lust, Herrmann, Bloomstrand, and Andrew Brown each having two hits apiece.  Bloomstrand drove in three runs.

In game two the Golden Rams fell behind 1-0 but scored three runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning.

Vermilion would put three more on the board in the top of the 5th, and the Golden Rams would tie the score at 4-4 in the bottom of the 5th.

The in the bottom of the 6th the Golden Rams put five runs on the board to take a 9-4 lead.

Cody Herrmann drove in four runs while scoring two.  Jake Hansen went 3-4 with two RBI.

Andrew Brown earned the win by pitching 6.1 innings, allowing six runs and nine hits.
